John Roskam wrote on 5 July 2023 that he had canvassed for Werner after losing the Warrandyte preselection. Contemporary reporting identified him as an IPA senior fellow. This establishes campaigning by an IPA figure in his Liberal Party activity, not an institutional IPA endorsement, funding arrangement or Werner’s membership.
