Status matters: Victorian Labor's official directory lists 69 serving state MPs and 31 announced candidates. Serving MPs hold office now. Announced candidates remain prospective until VEC nominations close on 9 November 2026. The lists below do not imply that every serving MP is recontesting.

Juliana Addison — Wendouree

Addison is the Labor member for Wendouree. Parliament records her earlier work as a history teacher and Ballarat Health Services board director, and before that as an Australian Workers' Union organiser and Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union national industrial officer.

Ben Carroll and Gabrielle Williams

Ben Carroll is Premier and member for Niddrie. Parliament records that he was a policy adviser and lawyer before entering Parliament. Gabrielle Williams is Deputy Premier and member for Dandenong; Parliament records earlier work as a University of Melbourne project manager, lawyer and government adviser.

Jaclyn Symes — Northern Victoria

Symes is Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council. Parliament records her earlier work as a carer, Australian Services Union industrial officer, adviser to the Bracks–Brumby government and senior legal and justice adviser to opposition leader Daniel Andrews.
